California’s August 1 Source Reduction Plan deadline marks a starting point, not a finish line. Organizations will need to report progress and adjust their approach every year through 2032, which means source reduction can’t be treated as a one-time filing exercise. It has to become part of how packaging decisions get made on an ongoing basis.
Join Specright and Adept Packaging for a discussion on what it takes to build that kind of system: one grounded in accurate packaging data and backed by the engineering expertise to act on it. We’ll look at where companies commonly get stuck, what a credible plan actually requires, and how a strong data foundation combined with hands-on packaging engineering support sets organizations up to keep meeting these requirements year over year, not just this August.
For companies already using Specright, this is also a chance to see how that existing data can be put to work faster with Adept’s guidance on drafting, implementation, and execution.
This session brings together Tom Preston and Adam Armstrong from Specright and Prateek Lal and Curtis Gippe from Adept Packaging, drawing on firsthand experience across categories including beauty and cosmetics, where EPR requirements are surfacing data gaps that catch many brands off guard.
