Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) legislation is growing across the U.S., forcing organizations to shift the way they approach the role of packaging in their business operations. Among these laws is Oregon’s Plastic Pollution and Recycling Modernization Act, Senate Bill 582 (SB 582). In an effort to drive alignment across the packaging value chain, the newly formed Sustainable Packaging Data Council, has developed this template to streamline reporting and enable companies to drive meaningful, sustainable change.
“Sustainability initiatives are more than checking a regulatory box. There is a shared responsibility of all companies to do better for the planet, and we’re establishing this council to empower them to do just that. Through this collaborative effort, companies cannot only work together on this common goal, but ultimately will spend less time chasing data and more time innovating and driving true impact.”
