Revealing Revision Management – Mass Revision

The new Mass Revision capability simplifies multi-level BOM management by allowing users to initiate revisions from any record. Revisions can automatically update across parent and child connections, reducing manual effort and minimizing errors.

Users can either create new component versions while preserving history or replace components across the BOM entirely. Built-in version tracking and change management help maintain data integrity and traceability while streamlining complex revision workflows.

Multiple Enhancements to Spec Export

Release 29 introduces several enhancements to Spec Export, Specright’s in-platform PDF generator, improving flexibility, usability, and presentation.

Key enhancements include:

• Custom page breaks for improved document structure

• Ability to attach generated PDFs directly to Specright Files

• Enhanced UI support for related list records and hierarchical data

• Support for checkboxes and rich text fields, including images

More Easily Reduce Duplicate Specs with Duplicate Rules UX Enhancements

Updates to Duplicate Rules make it easier to standardize data and prevent duplicate records. Specright now more effectively identifies similar or identical items during record creation.

Enhancements include:

• Unified duplicate rule settings across record types

• Customizable field ordering for improved visibility

UX Enhancements to Specright Tasks

Specright Tasks now features a redesigned Tasks modal that replaces the classic record page. 

Key features include:

• Create task dependencies
• Auto-adjust schedules when changes occur
• Track progress via interactive Gantt Charts

The new interface delivers a more cohesive experience with fewer clicks required, making project visualization and management more intuitive than ever.

Import Approved Artwork Files into the PageProof Integration

Our enhanced PageProof Integration streamlines artwork management by allowing direct import of approved proof files into Specright. There are two ways to do this:

• Automatic Import – Files transfer instantly upon approval in PageProof
• On-Demand Import – Manually import approved files as needed

Benefits include seamless file attachment, real-time visibility of the latest approved artwork, and workflow flexibility—all without switching between systems.

FDA Integration New Capabilities: FEI Number Verification & Data Import Email Summaries

New FDA integration features enhance compliance tracking and responsiveness. Users can now review and correct FEI numbers and receive email notifications when FDA data imports occur.

These additions allow for faster responses to compliance issues and more proactive regulatory management.

Streamline Bidding to Suppliers with Bids Enhancements

Enhancements to the Bids feature improve supplier communication and bid evaluation. New capabilities support split awards, clearer supplier notifications, and side-by-side comparison of multiple bids.

These updates enable more flexible sourcing decisions and improved transparency throughout the bidding process.

Introducing the Related List Component in Specright Files

We’ve upgraded Specright Files to make document management more intuitive:

• In-Place Version Updates – Upload new file versions directly from the related list without navigating to file preview
• Custom File Organization – Admins can now create filters in the related list component to separate files into distinct lists as needed

These improvements complement existing capabilities like individual and bulk uploads, file searching, and multi-file record connections—all designed to make your file management more efficient.
