Spec Export allows Specright users to generate customized PDFs directly from the platform. With features like branding control, access permissions, and dedicated export buttons, it streamlines document creation while ensuring consistency and security—all without third-party tools.

Introducing SpecGPT Beta

SpecGPT is Specright’s AI Chatbot, allowing conversational search on Specright. This release we are introducing the Beta version of this feature that allows querying for packaging and formulation specs.

Add Items

Specright’s Add Items functionality allows users to utilize Like Item Finder functionality when connecting specifications to a Finished Good. Additionally, users are able to add additional data, like Quantity, when making these connections so they can add many specs at one time with relevant data rather than one at a time.

Introducing the latest addition to our Intelligent Document Processing feature: IDP Self Service powered by LLM! Take full control of the information you extract from your documents. This self-service tool utilizes advanced generative AI models for precise data retrieval, making your workflows more efficient than ever.

Plan For Every Part – Related List Visualizations

Specright has rounded out the Plan For Every Part visualizations with the ability to view images alongside their instructions. Operators are able to navigate instructions directly in Specright instead of having to rely on outputs from the system. 

1WorldSync Integration Enhancements

Specright’s 1WorldSync integration now allows publishing to multiple product types(GTINs) from a single finished good, supports nutrition and allergen data, and offers customizable email notifications—streamlining product data management and ensuring accuracy.

COMPASS – LCA Data Return

Specright’s COMPASS integration allows users to send bill of material and spec data to COMPASS, enabling users to quickly run Life Cycle Assessments (LCAs) on existing or emerging products and packaging with the click of a button. With this release, users can now request LCA result data from COMPASS. Data will be returned to an LCA Result record connected to the original parent record.

Specright Tasks – Feature Updates

In this release, we’ve added the following functionality to Specright Tasks:

• Change a Task Owner directly from Gantt, and scale Gantt chart dates to see more of a project at once
• Home screen component to see Your Tasks
• Status Roll Ups improve Task Group status changes
• Task Complete automation shows when a task was completed and who actually marked it complete

TOPS Integration Inbound Results Enhancements

The TOPS integration receives two enhancements related to the analysis received back from TOPS into Specright. The first one enables saving the TOPS database Shipper Name to Specright in the scenario that a shipper from a TOPS database is selected for an analysis. The second update allows creating a new spec using the weights and dimensions received back from TOPS for any stage. Previously, there was only the option to update an existing specification.

Formula Batch Calculator

The Batch Calculator feature allows users to select any formula or sub-formula, enter a batch size and UOM, and instantly calculate the precise quantities of all related ingredients and sub-formulas based on their percentage composition within the formula. The user can adjust the batch size and or batch UOM within the same Batch Calculator record or create multiple batches per formula.

Clone/Supersede – Duplicate Rules

Specright now has the ability to fire duplicate rules when a user is performing a clone or supersede. This helps to ensure data quality and integrity for customers. 

Page Proof – Proofing Software Integration

The new Specright and PageProof integration offers a robust solution for managing artwork proofing and approvals. This integration brings in critical information from the artwork process, such as status, version, and the approved printer copy, directly into Specright. By centralizing these details, users can efficiently track the entire artwork lifecycle and ensure seamless collaboration. Additionally, users can access an embedded version of the PageProof artwork within Specright, where they can review, add comments, and take necessary actions on the artwork.
